We’re Specsavers—your new neighbours with a simple purpose: to change lives through better sight. We believe that everyone deserves healthy eyes, which is why we make it our business to make sure expert eyecare and affordable, quality eyewear are accessible to as many people as possible. 

That’s why we’re opening 111 new locations across the country, like Real Canadian Superstore, Atlantic Superstore, Loblaws, Zehrs, Your Independent Grocer, Fortinos and Dominion.

So, what are we bringing to these spaces?

We’re raising the bar on eyecare: every eye exam at Specsavers includes an OCT eye health scan as standard, a technology you won’t find included at most clinics.  

We also have a wide range of stylish frames in our roster, including designers like adidas and Vivienne Westwood to Canada’s own Hayley Elsaesser. After bold shapes? Or maybe subtle classics? There’s a frame for every taste. And no matter which style you go for, or however many you choose, all our glasses are priced to include single-vision lenses and a scratch-resistant treatment.

We welcome prescriptions from any optometrist. Simply drop by to find your perfect glasses or top up your supply of contact lenses. There’s a whole range of contact lenses to choose from, whether you’re an everyday-wearer or more of a once-in-a-while type.

Will my warranty from Theodore & Pringle still be honoured?

If you previously purchased glasses from Theodore & Pringle, rest assured Specsavers will honour Theodore & Pringle warranties subject to terms and conditions and at the discretion of your Specsavers location.  

Our goal is to continue offering great service and peace of mind, just like you’re used to. Come see us in store, and we’ll help you find the right solution if your glasses aren’t quite right. You can also always come in to have your glasses adjusted or professionally cleaned, whenever you need it. This service is completely free during the life of your glasses.

What’s covered under your Theodore & Pringle warranty at Specsavers?

If you purchased from Theodore & Pringle before January 2025: 

We’re proud to honour your existing warranty for any manufacturing or quality defect, as well as accidental damage subject to the following terms and conditions:

If a replacement is approved, we’ll provide: 

  • A frame from our $149 range or below 
  • Equivalent lenses (same type and prescription) 

If you purchased from Theodore & Pringle from January 2025 onwards:

We’re proud to honour your existing warranty for any manufacturing or quality defect subject to the following terms and conditions: 

If a replacement is approved, we’ll provide: 

  • A frame from our $149 range or below 
  • Equivalent lenses (same type and prescription) 

In the case of accidental damage, proud to honour your existing warranty subject to the following terms and conditions: 

  • A frame from our $149 range or below
  • Equivalent lenses (same type and prescription)
  • A restocking fee of $35 per instance applies for FreshSpex & Joe Fresh frames with single vision lenses, and $75 per instance applies for any other frames and lens combinations. 

Our team will guide you to find the right solution for your situation.  

You can always come in to have your glasses adjusted or professionally cleaned, whenever you need it. This service is completely free during the life of your glasses.

Can I book an eye exam online?

Absolutely! You can book your eye exam online at specsavers.ca/stores. Just find your nearest location and follow the booking prompts. 

Can I still get my Theodore & Pringle glasses adjusted with you?

Yes! You can always come in to have your glasses adjusted or professionally cleaned at no charge, no matter where you got your glasses from.

What will happen to my optical records and purchase history if I was a Theodore & Pringle customer?

Your optical records and purchase history from Theodore & Pringle will be securely transferred to Specsavers and managed under our privacy policy. If you received optometry services (like an eye exam), your patient record will remain with your optometrist. You can reach out to your original store or independent optometrist directly with any questions.

Will I be contacted when it’s time for my next eye exam?

If you received optometry services (like an eye exam) at Theodore & Pringle, your patient record will remain with your optometrist. You can reach out to them directly with any questions.

Can I still use my prescription I got from Theodore & Pringle?

Yes, if you already have a prescription for glasses, you don’t need an appointment to buy new frames or lenses at Specsavers. Just bring your current prescription to your local store, and the team will be happy to help you find your next pair of glasses. It just needs to be from within the last two years.

Will you have the same sales as Theodore & Pringle?

At Specsavers, you’ll always find great value, like complete glasses for $69 or two pairs for $149 including sunglasses. Offers change from time to time, so check specsavers.ca/offers for the latest deals.

Are you going to carry Theodore & Pringle glasses?

While we carry different frames than Theodore & Pringle, we're sure you’ll find a new favourite frame in our wide range of styles, shapes and colours. You can browse our selection at specsavers.ca/glasses/all-glasses.

Will Specsavers locations be in the same places as Theodore & Pringle stores?

Many Theodore & Pringle stores will transition to become Specsavers locations. As these new Specsavers stores open, details—including opening date—will be added to https://www.specsavers.ca/stores. You can also use this page to find the nearest open Specsavers location at any time.

Will my optometrist from Theodore & Pringle still be available at Specsavers?

In many cases, optometrists will continue to practice at the same location. If you’d like to confirm, please reach out to your local Specsavers or your optometrist directly.

Will I earn PC Optimum points in your store?

Not at this time. While we are working to make this available in the future, you currently cannot earn or redeem PC Optimum points at Specsavers locations.
