What is digital retinal photography?
Digital retinal photography (DRP) is a powerful tool that helps us to detect serious eye diseases including glaucoma, macular degeneration and retinal changes that may be associated with diabetes.During your eye exam, our independent optometrists will take a high‑resolution image of your retina using an advanced DRP camera. They can then use these images to discuss your overall eye health with you. This technology allows us to screen for abnormalities which can then be monitored and treated to better protect the quality of your sight and overall eye health. The images taken are also stored in your record, which helps us to track any changes in your eye health over time.
How can I get it?
DRP is included free in all our eye exams, so all you need to do is book one. Available in all our stores with your two‑yearly comprehensive eye exam and subject to eligibility.
