Claiming glasses with health insurance
Most health insurance plans include benefits for optical. And with us, there are lots of ways to get extra value when claiming your prescription glasses - from designer frames to lens options. If you’re not sure what to claim, just come in for a chat with our store team who can help explain what you’re covered for.
Depending on your level of coverage and which health insurer you’re with, you may be eligible to claim two designer styles from the $199 range, complete with single-vision lenses, for no out-of-pocket expense. The best part is, all our frame prices include single-vision lenses with a scratch-resistant coating as standard.
How do I claim glasses with health insurance?
If you have optical coverage as part of your policy, come and see us in store where we can help you with what you can claim. If you’ve never had prescription glasses before, you can book in for an eye exam with one of our independent optometrists. This will help to determine whether you need to start wearing glasses and if you do, you’ll be given a prescription — which is required when claiming your glasses.
If you already wear prescription glasses, notice any changes to your vision, or you’re over 60, you may also benefit from an eye exam with one of our independent optometrists.
With most health insurers, you can claim your rebate on the spot in store. If you have an eye exam with us, we’ll keep your prescription on file so all you need to remember is your health insurance details to make claiming easy.
