How to use your vision plan if you’re new to health insurance

What does ‘vision plan’ mean?

If you’ve got optical coverage but you’re not sure what you’re covered for, we’re here to help. We offer great value to make your vision plan go further, plus an exciting range of designer styles to help you get extra from your coverage.

At Specsavers, you can use your vision plan to claim a rebate on a comprehensive eye exam, including 3D eye scan, with one of our independent optometrists. You can also claim a rebate on our great range of glasses, prescription sunglasses and contact lenses. Each health insurer and policy is different, so it’s worth having a chat with our team in your local store to help you understand exactly what you can claim.

Getting the most out of your optical coverage

We have offers that will make your vision plan go further. Here are our tips on how to get the most out of your optical coverage

Choose designer styles

Selected vision plan members can get two designer styles from the $199 range with no out‑of‑pocket expense, complete with single‑vision lenses. We’ve got a range of designer brands to choose from, so you can stay right on trend with the latest looks.

Update your prescription sunglasses

You can use your optical coverage to update your look with new prescription sunglasses, including the latest styles from our designer brands. And with our two pairs offer, you can mix and match your styles so you’re covered for every occasion

Look at your lens options

From anti‑reflective coatings, to thin and light lens materials, and lenses to enhance your vision while driving, we’ve got a lens option to suit every lifestyle. And with our lens option discounts, you can get extra value from your optical coverage.

Buy your contact lenses

Contact lenses can come in very handy, especially if you play sport or prefer them over wearing your glasses. Many vision plans offer rebates on contact lenses.
